At North Ainley, we are proud to support Maggie’s Oldham – a remarkable charity that offers free practical, emotional, and social support to people living with cancer, as well as their families and friends.
On the second Tuesday of each month a member of our Private Client team visits the Maggie’s Centre based in the grounds of The Royal Oldham Hospital to spend the afternoon meeting with people supported by the Maggie’s team to help them prepare simple Wills, completely free of charge. It’s a small way we can offer peace of mind at what can be a very difficult time, and it’s always a privilege to spend time with such courageous people.
Over the years North Ainley have taken part in many different fundraising activities for Maggie’s, some more conventional than others… In April 2023, 7 members of the North Ainley team braved the coals and walked through fire in Maggie’s first ever Fire Walk, raising over £1,000 for the charity! A truly unforgettable experience for us all. In 2024 team North Ainley decided to cool things down and take part in Maggie’s annual Culture Crawl, braving a cold September night to tour Oldham and visit its historic landmarks again raising over £600 for the charity.
We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Maggie’s and look forward to supporting them in any way we can whether that is through fundraising, volunteering, or simply lending a helping hand. The work Maggie’s does makes a real difference to those battling cancer and their families, and we’re proud to play a small part in that.
