The president of the Law Society visited Oldham Sixth Form College this month and members of the Private Client and Commercial Property teams at North Ainley were honoured to meet the current president, Lubna Shuja.
The president also met with the college’s law students to talk about her role at the Law Society and then conducted a question-and-answer session with the aspiring students.
Lubna became the 178th person, first Asian, first Muslim and seventh female president of the Law Society of England and Wales in 2022. Lubna has practiced as a solicitor for more than 30 years and specialised in family law, personal injury and contract disputes.
A special occasion for all in attendance and a great opportunity and pleasure for the North Ainley trainees who are both currently working and studying to become qualified solicitors. Lubna demonstrated that with hard work and perseverance you can achieve anything, truly inspirational for the future generations of the legal profession.
