North Ainley Halliwell are pleased to announce that this year we will be taking part in the Make a Will Week campaign being organised by Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
Dr Kershaw’s Hospice opened in 1989 using funds received from a legacy provided by Dr John Kershaw, a local GP. The hospice provides specialist palliative care for adult patients who suffer with non-curable life-threatening illnesses. The facility also strives to provide support for its patient’s family members and carers. Dr Kershaw’s is an independent hospice and a registered charity. While partially funded by the NHS by way of annual grant, the major part of the hospice’s funding is raised by donations, legacies and fund raising events such as the Make a Will Week campaign.
Under the scheme North Ainley Halliwell will provide Will drafting services free of charge during the period of 10th to 14th May 2010 and ask that all participating clients make a donation to the hospice in lieu of our fees. We hope that the campaign will generate a lot of interest in the local community and we look forward to helping raise much needed funds for the hospice.
