John Ainley T.E.P is the Senior Partner having qualified as a Solicitor after studying at the College of Law in London.

He represents a number of high profile clients in the entertainment field and provides advice on contractual and media issues, financial and business affairs, and personal matters.

John is a former President of the Oldham Law Association, is on the board of Mahdlo, which provides first class social and recreational facilities for young people and is part of the network of Youth Zones across the North West.

He has more than 30 years experience in dealing with Trusts, Inheritance Tax Planning, Estates and associated issues. He is a former chair of the Manchester Branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

John also takes a great interest in issues concerning both education and the elderly. He was Vice Chairman of the Governors at the Oldham Hulme Grammar Schools, a former Trustee of Age Concern (Oldham) and was a director of the highly regarded social housing association Eastlands Homes.

For many years, he has acted for the family of Keith Bennett who was murdered by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley and deals with media interest and interviews for television and the radio.  He is also a Trustee of Saddleworth Museum, an outstanding historical and educational facility in Uppermill.

In addition to his Private Capital experience, John also has a wide knowledge of Property and Company Law that is invaluable when providing sound and pragmatic advice on inter-related issues.  In particular, he uses his negotiating experience in the course of land acquisition and site development for both residential and commercial schemes.

In Round Table and Rotary, he is a past president and has been involved in the community for over 40 years.  He was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship by Saddleworth Rotary Club in 2010 for his services to the local community.  He has also engaged in raising funds to provide mosquito nets in Africa and combines his interest in fly fishing with voluntary work to bring an interactive fishing experience to children with special needs.
